Perpignan, Tautavel, a corkscrew, a song… These are the delicate and vibrant moments that gave birth to “L’amour est doux”, the new single — and accompanying video — from Soniamiki and Łukasz Lach. It’s the first collaboration between this real-life couple, united both artistically and personally.
In 2022, they left Poland with a car full of instruments for what was meant to be a simple vacation in Perpignan. But sometimes life rewrites the script: the days stretched on, new encounters unfolded, and a kind of magic took hold. Two years later, still there, they recorded this song — born out of the unexpected.
One summer evening, with a bottle of wine in hand but no corkscrew, they knocked on a neighbor’s door. From that ordinary gesture came a string of luminous coincidences, eventually leading them to Tautavel, at the foot of Mount Canigou — where they met a couple who had also stayed for two years, stranded after a car breakdown on the road to Spain. Coincidence? Fate? It doesn’t really matter.
“L’amour est doux” is a ballad like a summer memory: weightless, tender, touched by the feeling that everything is illusion — fleeting, like a dream or a hologram. A delicate track with airy synths and soft harmonies, it’s meant to be listened to the way one sinks into a memory — not clinging to it, but not wanting to let it go either.
