Camille Bénâtre Interrogates Modern Forms of Authoritarian Power with Un grand éventail gris

A singer-songwriter originally from Toulouse and now based in Gothenburg, Camille Bénâtre forges a singular path between folk and pop.

Written on an island in Sweden and recorded in April 2025, Un grand éventail gris is his second single (following À quelle sauce sera-t-on mangé?, released on October 14). The track was produced by Camille Bénâtre alongside Klara Goliger and Linnéa Ljungblad at Music A Matic Studio in Gothenburg

This new song is a melancholic folk ballad inspired by the great English songwriters (Nick Drake, Bill Fay, Laura Marling), expressing a sense of weariness in the face of modern forms of authoritarian power.
