Maddera Music: From skewer sticks to studio hits

In the ever-evolving landscape of hip-hop, sometimes it’s the simplest beats that resonate the most. That’s exactly what you’ll find in the recently dropped beat tapes, “Generic Vol 1 & 2”. Whether you’re in the mood to freestyle or just need some chill background music, “Generic” delivers. With beats that are both nostalgic and straightforward, these volumes are a delightful throwback to the essence of hip-hop, guaranteed to keep your head nodding and your creativity flowing.

The Humble Beginnings

For Maddera Music, the journey began not with a grandiose plan but with a simple, profound passion for music. Long before the studio sessions, our beatmaker was using skewer sticks as drumsticks and every object in the house as part of an impromptu drum kit. In the playground, he was the kid beatboxing so his friends could rap. But it wasn’t until high school, when he was introduced to the grand piano and Logic Pro, that his musical journey took a serious turn.

From Hobby to Hustle

What began as a part-time hobby slowly evolved into a full-time pursuit. It wasn’t just about making beats anymore; he dived deep into songwriting, recording, mixing, and mastering vocals, working with numerous local artists and steadily building his portfolio. Although major placements are still on the horizon, his relentless drive and ever-growing catalog of music suggest it’s only a matter of time.

An Independent Spirit

In a world dominated by major labels and mainstream sounds, Maddera Music stands out as a beacon of independence. His journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and self-belief. Unfettered by the constraints of industry norms and with a deep understanding of rhythm, melody, and harmony, he creates tracks that are as innovative as they are infectious. Exploring uncharted territories, blending genres, and experimenting with sounds, he creates something truly unique. This independent spirit not only defines his music but also inspires a generation of upcoming artists who seek to carve their own paths.

Legacies in the Making

Maddera’s musical journey is also joined by one of his key collaborators, Bobbeats, a friend and co-producer who excels in guitar and drum patterns. Together, they create a fusion of digital and analog sounds that’s nothing short of mesmerizing. Whether it’s a laid-back beat perfect for late-night contemplation or a groove that gets your head nodding, their collaborations are a testament to the power of musical synergy. Stay tuned and vibe out—there’s much more to come from this exciting UK producer and his guitar-wielding comrade.

Welcome to our redaction! Tell us who you are and how you started to make music?

Independent music producer (mixing/mastering/recording/beatmaking) from the UK. Typically making hip hop beats for singers/rappers but yet to stick to one niche and forever willing to experiment and make something out of my comfort zone. Growing up always had a passion for music but never any intentions for producing until I went to highschool where I starting playing piano and using software like logic pro, picked it up very quickly and it almost came naturally to me.

What inspires you to create music?

Well i’m a fan of music for starters, but mainly the fact that the possibilities are endless. Thousands of years humans have been creating music yet we still find new sounds that we are able to put together to create a new vibe, it’s magic.

Do you have a specific creative process?

My creative process in nothing short of experimenting, having fun and trying to cater to artists. I insisted on not using any samples in my early work which felt rewarding and satisfying knowing it was all original, however as I progressed I could not help but incorporate samples into my beats and no longer had animosity towards people who used samples because it was fun and saves a lot of time in the long run of things, also who doesn’t like a good sampled remix.

Can you describe your latest release?

My latest project is a second of many beat tapes to come, which feature 18 atmospheric hip hop beats, wether you’re in a freestying mood or just want some background music it will not disappoint.

What do you plan for the future?

I plan to continue building my portfolio and connect with artists and try to make a mark on the music industry as a independent producer (Some producers that helped curate and inspire me through the years – Dj premier, j dilla, dr Dre, bonobo, Timbaland , swizzbeats, just blaze, mustard, havoc, Kayne west, Metro Boomin).
