Sun Uther Wahn: Crafting Musical Magic With Their Upcoming Release “echos edge”

Sun Uther Wahn, a musical collective from Clarke County, Mississippi, unveils their unique musical concoction. Their discography reveals a distinctive artistic signature, blending rock, groove, and surprising structures, exemplified in “Mississippi Groove Mule, Pt. 1 (Live jam session)”.

Yet, their eclecticism shines through; delving deeper, one discovers “Today,” a track that soothes with gentle guitars and dreamy soundscapes, perfect for introspection.

The group presents ‘Echo’s Edge,’ slated for release on March 1st, 2024. Consisting of Sheldon Beard on drums and vocals, Tristin Odom on guitar, and Norman Williams handling keys, bass, and vocals, their intentional release coincides with Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon,’ a significant influence on Sun Uther Wahn’s musical odyssey.

Today, they respond to five questions! Read our conversation with them below:

Welcome to our redaction! Tell us who you are and how you started to make music?

We are collective of musicians residing in Clarke County MS. Sheldon Beard is on drums and vocals, Tristin Odom is the guitarist, Norman Williams is the bass, keyboardist and vocalist. All three are songwriters.

What inspires you to write music, and what is your creative process?

We achieve inspiration from each other. We exchange vibes in the studio to create a wide variety of genres. Everything from ambient to metal comes from the collective know as Sun Uther Wahn. Our musical influences ranges from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Debussy to Johnny Cash to Bjork….. Oh yes Norman reminds us …. BRIAN ENO…… ha ha that’s his big influence…… Any weirdness is going to come from Norm….We have written songs based on phrases in a conversation…. some times just the groove hits just right…… It’s almost like fishing …… We put ourselves in the musicverse in order to ” catch” the certain groove or vibe…

Can you describe your latest release?
