Welcome to our redaction! Who are you and how did you start to make music?

Hello, my name is FIL SWAN I’m a synth/pop-rock musician, but also I perform as a Live-Looping musician. I’ve started to make my own music in 2016 but before I’ve made lots of different cover songs and I’ve been in an a-cappella band Coffeetime for 6 years.

What inspires you to write and create music?

I was born in Moscow, now I live in Los Angeles and I love to travel a lot, I think it’s the best way for my inspiration. Also, music from other musicians works for me very well too, I’m listening and feel that I want to create a song in this genre or with this instrument or say something on this theme.

Do you have a specific creative process?

For me the most important part is to find the first hook – it could be a phrase, a word, a sound, an instrument or already a small melody. After that, I start to build it like a house or assemble it like a puzzle. But I always produce music first and after that create lyrics – that’s my best combo. Sometimes I love to help myself with atmosphere, I have a song called Дождь (Rain) and I’ve created the lyrics only during the rain outside to better catch this vibe and that was a fantastic experience.

How would you describe your latest release?

I want to show you my new song Lullaby. It was made in Los Angeles right in Hollywood. I’m a big fan of Dance music and I wanted to create something chill, dance, and sexy simultaneously. The cover for this song was generated by AI. The main inspiration for this song was space magic, far-away stars, and Love of course. This is my first official song in English but I’ve received fantastic feedback especially when I released a Lyrics Video on my YouTube channel. Now it’s more than 23k views from all over the world.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I’ve almost finished my new song in a Blues/Country style. I can’t wait when I release it and create a music video because that will be very tasty, stylish and brutal.
