Today, we have the pleasure to discover Kat Fox, an award-winning photographer who is known for her whimsical and colourful conceptual portraiture. Influenced by the pop art movement, Kat’s work reflects the cultural zeitgeist through a retro and nostalgic lens.
She enjoys juxtaposing roles of child and adult, exploring the role of play and the effect of colour on human livelihood. Her minimalist approach to framing creates a sense of solitude and space, and the result is modern, cheerful and brings happiness to the eyes and mind.
In addition to photography, Kat builds her own sets, sculpts, paints, and experiments with digital montage.
Kat Fox is currently a resident at The Grace Galleries in Laguna Beach, and here is a glimpse of her wonderful work:
