Sïan Able – “LAVA”: finding the courage to walk through the fire

Everything burns. Everything starts again.

With “LAVA”, the title track from her upcoming fourth album, Sïan Able enters the uncertain space between one life falling apart and another taking shape. Rather than turning transformation into a triumphant rebirth, she stays with what comes before it: doubt, grief, disorientation, and the slow process of letting go of a world that no longer exists.

Built from molten synths, organic percussion and dense electronic production, “LAVA” turns the volcano into a metaphor for an inner transformation. Fire destroys, but it also clears the ground. What remains can eventually become fertile again.

The video, shot in a mineral quarry, brings that passage into physical form. Surrounded by rock and rubble, Sïan Able initially appears almost frozen within the landscape. Gradually, breath, movement and energy return, turning the barren setting into the stage for a slow reawakening.

After withdrawing to the hills to write her fourth album over the course of a winter, Sïan Able returns with music that feels raw, magnetic and instinctive, somewhere between dark pop, heavy synth and indietronica. Performing alone on stage, she turns synthesizers and light into a physical experience, somewhere between an incandescent ritual and a collective catharsis.
