Welcome to The-Further! Can you tell us who you are and how you started to make music?
I am AKLOCO, a musician based in west London, music has been in my life for over 9 years. I studied music production in school and ever since, I’ve fallen in love with music.
What inspires you to write music?
Life scenarios from my past, for me inspiration doesn’t come in human form. It comes from emotions.
What is your creative process?
My process first comes from my heart. I would have to feel a type of way to start a new project. First I’d produce an instrumental based on my feelings, the instrumental is my diary book, and then the words come after to fulfil my emotions so that it creates the music, which then creates an emotion to the listeners.
Can you tell us more about your latest release?
New People, Old Lines is about the same scenarios that happen in my life, but with different people. I’ve allowed the listeners to explore both my vocal and my instrumental in one song so the audience could hear the balance of the music.
What do you plan for the future?
I am currently working on an album, that would be released early next year. My aim is to allow the listeners to relate and feel like they’re not alone in this cold world. I like to reassure people. My music is a safe place.
