With his debut EP Walter, An_dal opens the doors to a rich, contrasting, and deeply personal musical world. Blending organic rock, electronic textures, and melancholic ballads, each track delves into a facet of the human soul while maintaining a cohesive and intentional sound.
Like an impressionist painting, each song has its own color, its own identity — yet together, they weave a fluid and intimate whole, open to personal interpretation.
Walter is the elephant in the room — that immense, sometimes unsettling part of ourselves we stubbornly choose to ignore. Dressed in black and white, Walter waits to be seen. Only by facing him can we finally access color. This story — both deeply personal and universally relatable — runs through the EP like a common thread, an invitation to introspection.
Antoine Vidal — musician, composer, and producer based in Paris — is the creative force behind An_dal. Known as a sideman bassist for artists such as Xavier Polycarpe, Joseph Chedid, Erik Truffaz, and Malik Djoudi, he now steps into the spotlight with a solo vision. Between 2023 and 2024, he released five acclaimed singles under the An_dal moniker. With the Walter EP, he marks a turning point — asserting a bold and singular artistic identity with new, striking shades.
