Are you in need of a new metal band to play on repeat? There’s something about Following The Signs that just feels real. No over-polished image, no fake hype, just straight-up heavy music with something to say. Coming out of Cork, these guys are pushing a sound that sits right in that sweet spot between crushing breakdowns and emotional punch.
The new EP Evolve feels like a proper step up. You can hear the growth straight away. Everything sounds tighter, heavier and way more confident. The riffs hit hard, the drums don’t let up, and the vocals carry that mix of aggression and honesty that makes you actually pay attention instead of just headbanging and moving on.
The title track “Evolve” is the standout. It’s got that big chorus energy that sticks in your head but still hits with weight. It’s not just catchy for the sake of it either; there’s meaning behind it. You can feel that theme of pushing through struggles and coming out stronger, and it never feels forced.
If you’ve heard tracks like “Bury Me” before, you’ll notice how much more refined things are now. The band hasn’t lost that raw edge; they’ve just sharpened it. The balance between heavy and melodic feels way more natural this time around.
What really stands out is how listenable the whole EP is. It flows well, no filler, no wasted moments. Just solid metalcore with heart.
Following The Signs are clearly not here to mess about. This EP shows a band that knows what they’re doing and is ready to push further. If this is the direction they’re heading in, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on what comes next.
