Actress Geri White has recently starred in the new TV series “Things We Do for Love,” where she leads in the series as the role of Sam. Geri White is known for her dynamic range in acting and starring in quality films & TV series, including Oxygen Network’s longest running tv-series Snapped: Killer Couples as Brenda Dixon, Sweet Burn (a feature film) as Julie, and Dear Dad as the role of Jasmine, which premiered at the Regal Theater in Time Square!

Geri, can you explain your role?
In the upcoming series titled “Things We Do for Love,” I play the role of Samantha, aka Sam, who is the main character’s love interest. Sam is searching for love by putting herself in compromising positions to prove her love for a man yet she doesn’t know love. It’s a journey that people can identify with and you don’t want to miss it!
You look amazing in your red carpet premiere release of “Things We Do for Love,” but let’s rewind back to the start. How was the process for you to get into character?
I had to first understand what the writers were asking. Reading the story and getting the back story of who Sam is and where she is going. The writer and director, Jamarr Felton is such a description story teller that I fell in love with the idea of Sam’s trajectory. I had to identify with love or lack thereof, even if it caused me to think of my own personal experiences vs. imaginary circumstances. The writer and I would talk frequently about the mannerisms of Sam and how she responds. It was a fun process, and it gave me therapy at the same time !
Do you have any special shout-outs?
Yes. The biggest shout out goes to the individual who made it possible, Jamarr Felton, the writer and director. Patty Productions as a whole, which includes Jamarr and his brother James Felton, They are incredible filmmakers and storytellers. My co-star Devante, who plays “Justin,” We have great chemistry on set, and he helped me embody Sam’s character by playing opposite of him.
Geri White was seen on the red carpet for the exclusive premiere of “Things We Do for Love” at Regal Theater in January 2024. “Things We Do for Love” is written and directed by Jamarr Felton from Patty Productions. “Things We Do for Love” is confirmed to be released in winter of 2024!
