Today, we joyfully turn our ears to the enchanting vocals of Chinese soprano Lena Wu, who earned her Master’s in Vocal Performance from Syracuse University. Wu’s operatic voice, characterized by its magical and expansive vocal range, delicately weaves poetry alongside the masterful notes of the piano.
Lena Wu has immersed us in a recital project she’s working on with pianist Eric Sedgwick in NYC, taking audiences on a journey from the Baroque period to the present day. Through their music, Wu and Sedgwick aspire to offer diverse experiences, bridging the timeless beauty of classical and baroque compositions with a contemporary twist. Together, they wish to bring a refreshing musical encounter to their audience and friends.
Wu’s commitment to purity and passion in music shines through, creating moments of musical brilliance. Wu has collaborated closely with renowned institutions such as Syracuse Opera Theater, Regina Opera Company, Vertical Player Repertory, New York Lyric Opera, and The Drama Company NYC, as well as being involved with initiatives like Sing for Hope, and she is not ready to slow down anytime soon!
