We had the opportunity to chat with Anderson Bedasi known as Rebel One — an emerging New York-based Dj and Producer born in the twin-island of Trinidad and Tobago. Rebel One is the new generation when it comes to music. It was only right to have a conversation with him.
With his latest single “All Those Memories”, Rebel One is ready to make summer great again. The song is an addiction thanks to sunny rhythms, catchy melodies, and perfect energies between pop and electronic music. Everything that we crave for. Enjoy it right now and read our conversation below:
Welcome Rebel One! We are thrilled to have you today. Can you introduce yourself to our reader and tell us how you started to make music?
I started my career as a DJ in the Caribbean community and quickly traveled across the globe for many gigs to counties like the UK, Japan, South America, Cayman Islands and many states across the US, then back 2012 I ventured into music production producing for some of the top Caribbean acts (Lyrikal, Konshens, Mr Killa) and now switching lanes to more mainstream music (pop, dance, electronic music, tropical house)
Your music is so eclectic. What inspires you to write music?
My inspiration to produce music comes from listening to all genres of music and trying to fuse them
Do you have a specific creative process?
My creative process is going to the studio and just start playing different melodies on the keyboard until it feels right, then everything else falls in place
Your latest release “All Those Memories” is now on repeat on our Spotify Playlists! Can you tell us more about this track?
My latest release is produced by me (Rebel Muzik) written by top-line writer Denny White is an electronic pop vibe with some sweet catchy melodies and vocal chops that tells a cliche love story that falls apart because of life’s circumstances
What are your plans for the future?
This release is the first of many with already 4 more songs recorded, I plan to drop and Ep of maybe an Album in the near future.
