We have just discovered Kuya Clint, an artist from Cavite, Philippines that we fell in love with for many reasons, including a surprising eclecticism and a new kind artistic vision.
We discovered Kuya Clint thanks to his incredible “Missing You”, an ambitious opus unveiling a delightful recipe between RNB-soul, and emo-pop touches. Sexy, melancholic, deep and poetic, this is how we can describe the opus that travels through beautiful sensations and stunning productions.

Welcome ! Tell us who you are and how you started to make music!
I am Clint Amores and I go by Kuya Clint! I started making music for fun, hanging out with my friends and making songs for school projects. I was able to get additional points for them which was pretty cool. I started singing/rapping over free beats on YouTube and making songs with my guitar on my old laptop after that.
What inspires you to write and create music?
The main inspiration that I have for writing music is my girlfriend. I used to make and sing her love songs all the time back when we were classmates in high school. I also make songs when I think or feel strongly about something, which helped me vent and made me feel better. But what really inspired me to professionally produce songs is listening to songs on Spotify and made me think that if they can do it, I can do it too.
Do you have a specific creative process?
Funnily enough, the ideas that I had for my songs come to me when I am busy doing something else. The concepts for my songs appear when I am either at work, driving to school, doing household chores, or taking a shower. First, a topic would pop up in my head then I would start humming melodies. Afterwards, I would try fitting lyrics into it and then finding chords that would match the instrumental. Once that’s all done, I’m off to make a beat and record my vocals.
How could you describe your latest project?
My latest release is my EP called Missing You. It’s a project that is heavily influenced by Joji, Drake, and Partynextdoor. It is composed of 5 alternative R&B tracks infused with Hip-hop, Rock, and Pop elements. The songs are about my long-distance relationship with my girlfriend and the experiences and thoughts that I encountered along the way. Each song tackles different stages, ranging from the excitement of seeing each other again, the painful longing of being separated from one another, up to the doubts that come with it. Some songs might be more relatable than others so listeners will have a favourite track to listen to.
What do you plan for the future?
Before this year ends, I am planning to perform my songs on stage to promote my EP as well as to get a feel for what it’s like to sing in front of people. And by the end of 2023, I am planning to release a full album that will explore my life experiences outside of my romantic relationship.
