We recently sat down with Emme Rain, and one thing became obvious fast: she is built differently. The Monroe, Louisiana creative is not just another rapper chasing trends. She is an author, spiritual mentor, entrepreneur, and a fearless independent artist turning personal empowerment into pure sonic fire. Her latest track, “Voodoo,” hits like a storm rolling through the city at midnight. The beat is dark, threatening, almost indestructible, while her flow cuts through the production with razor-sharp confidence. It is the kind of rap that instantly makes your head move and resets your whole mindset for the day.
During our interview, Emme Rain explained how she blends spirituality, healing, and ambition into every verse. That energy explodes throughout “Voodoo.” In an industry where men still dominate most of the spotlight, plenty of rappers should take notes. Emme Rain is not asking for space anymore. She is taking it with style, force, and vision. She talks with calm wisdom off the mic, then transforms into a lyrical machine once the bass drops, delivering motivation, attitude, and raw hunger without compromise.
Welcome to our redaction! Can you introduce yourself to our readers and tell how you started to make music?
Emme Rain, bestselling author, owner of Magickal Mystic, Divinity Academy and EmmeBossed Entertainment, former TV show host of Moments of Mindfulness on FOX, and world renowned spiritual leader and mentor. I am the founder of ERASP, the Emme Rain Ascension Scholarship Program, which is small but growing fast.
I began making music through frustration with censorship. I had things I wanted to get off my chest without endangering my social profiles, but I’ve always loved music so it swiftly morphed into what I dreamed of, and for a time worked for, as a teenager. The freedom in independent music is soul soothing. I write my experiences, my wisdom, my love, my anger, my truth. Before music, I wrote poetry. My mother was a troubled poet. I inherited my love for words from her.
How would you describe your creative process?
My creative process begins with incense, palo santo, meditation, the sound of nature. But sometimes, the best ideas hit me while I am moving and grooving so I have pieces of creative genius written everywhere.
Can you present your latest release?
My latest release is Voodoo Music, a bold spiritual statement piece. After leaving traditional religion, I longed for spiritual anthems and Voodoo Music is my take on what I was looking for. It is a message and permission to a banging beat.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Currently, I have 5 songs rising together and I am actively working to keep pace with the momentum started by Go Diamond. I am hard at work in the studio on 2 EPs, both I hope to release this year. The first is BLACK GOLD and I am looking to drop it around 4th of July. The other EP is VOODOO MUSIC and I hope to release it late fall. I am also doing closed room performances, but am actively planning my first musical tour. I’ve been traveling and speaking for 25 years, but music is a different beast. I am creating the ER Experience for people who want to feel good and walk elevated.
