Actress Jimena Herrero is set to star in “Between Iron Doors” theatrical productions that will premiere on August 5th through August 10th at the New Perspectives Theatre Company Women’s Work Short Play Festival! Jimena is known for roles in many films, including Adam & the Water (2022), The Metamorphosis of Ismaila Ba (2020), and Distillation (2015). Her latest role in “Between Iron Doors,” a theater project, is about three women who work together in a department store and take bathroom breaks. Throughout the performance, they discover more about themselves and what caused them to be locked in the bathroom. Q: What are your favorite roles?
Jimena Herrero: My fav genre in roles I play would be comedy. I love making people laugh, and it’s a challenge. I find it more difficult than any other genre.
Q: What are your favorite parts of making a film ( audition, rehearsal, filming, premiere)?
Jimena Herrero: I like auditioning, but it is not my favorite. I would have to say filming’s most exciting when the director says action and it’s just you, your scene partner, and it feels like time stops for a moment. I stopped being Jimena, and it’s all about telling the story.
