JONATHAN TINNE TALK ALL NIGHT

Take a peek into a day in the life of budding artist Jonathan Tinne and how he is furthering his career!

How did Talk All Night come about?

This is quite funny, I was in Edinburgh recently for my graduation a couple of weeks back and on the way home I was sitting in Edinburgh Airport with my girlfriend at a coffee shop table. She was reading and I was answering emails when I suddenly had a thought on how to start a song. I opened logic pro immediately and put down a simple beat with the piano over it. It then evolved to become “Talk All Night” but at its inception it was just a simple kick drum with the piano over it. I was really trying to capture a Parisian atmosphere which is why there’s vinyl in the song and the piano sounds vintage but it definitely has a pop flare to it. Xyvey joined later in the process for the vocals when I decided to have an extra voice on the track. We had so much fun with Elderflower Bubbles that I wanted her back for this one!

You have some exciting projects coming up, can you tell us about that?

I have a lot of stuff coming up which I’m very excited about. My songs will be in a movie next year streaming on Netflix. I don’t want to give too much away but I’m still very grateful to have had that opportunity and feel extremely blessed. I’m very thankful for having such amazing people in my life who have helped me get there.

If you could collaborate with any musician dead or alive who would it be?

That’s a good question. I think although my music leans more towards modern indie pop I have always loved old classics by Frank Sinatra and Paul Anka. I think that would be my answer. Otherwise I would love to make a song with Jeremy Zucker. My style is always evolving so it could be different next time we chat!

What artist are you listening to at the moment?

Jeremy Zucker’s new album has just come out so I’ve been playing that a bit but I’m also loving Marshmello at the moment. I do tend to hop around a lot though.
