Swedish artist CLANDESTINA is making waves with her debut EP Politically Erect. Her debut EP blends rap, singing, and spoken word to address themes ranging from systemic oppression to climate change and personal introspection.
On the release, CLANDESTINA shares, “I put lyrics first. I love mixing languages and cultures, exploring contradictions, and asking questions without pretending to have all the answers.”
The six-track release opens with the confrontational “Don’t Quit” and flows through intimate offerings like “Hymns to the Child I Love” and the reflective “Man Made.” Each song demonstrates her lyrical dexterity and rhythmic command, while her multi-lingual approach adds layers of texture and cultural depth.
Politically charged tracks such as “Bigger Than Paris” and the closing Spanish-infused track “Landet Istid (Ice Age Land)” further highlight her commitment to global storytelling. Across the EP, CLANDESTINA balances heavy topics with infectious beats, proving that socially aware music can also be sonically captivating.
Politically Erect cements CLANDESTINA’s place as an emerging artist with a distinct voice in global rap. The EP is a confident debut that blends political reflection, personal insight, and cross-cultural artistry, signaling a bright future for the Swedish talent.
“We’re thrilled to be working with CLANDESTINA on this project,” says Danielle Holian, Decent Music PR. “She is one of those rare artists who bridges cultures, languages, and genres with effortless authenticity. Her debut EP, Politically Erect, is as thought-provoking as it is sonically bold, tackling complex social and political themes while keeping the beats infectious. She’s a true global voice—someone who makes you think, feel, and move at the same time. We’re excited to see it reach listeners everywhere.”
