Prince VA doesn’t fit into one box, and that’s exactly the point.
The Dubai-based artist splits his time between writing, recording, producing, and mixing his own material. Originally from India but raised across Oman, Tanzania, and the UK, his sound draws on all the places he’s lived. It’s R&B with a hip-hop backbone, melodic but grounded, introspective without overdoing it. He’s influenced by artists like The Weeknd, Bryson Tiller, and 6LACK, but the music still feels like his own lane.
Over the past year, Prince VA has been stacking up both releases and stage time. He performed at the BRED Abu Dhabi festival in 2025 alongside Nas and PARTYNEXTDOOR, hit up events like Sikka Arts Festival and Al Quoz Arts Fest, and even launched his own series called Prince VA & FRNDS. He’s also appeared on Dubai One TV and Dubai Eye Radio. Not bad for someone doing most of it on his own terms.
His album, “Chasing Shadows: Vol 1”, keeps the momentum going. The project is built around themes of relationships and self-reflection, layered over modern production that stays smooth without losing edge. Tracks like “Lost in the Echoes,” “UH UH!,” and “Stuck On You” have found their audience online, adding to a catalogue that already includes fan favourites like “Lemonade.” That one’s sitting at over 130k streams and tells the story of a long-distance relationship that started through late-night texts and voice notes across time zones. It’s catchy, playful, and still grounded in emotion.
What sets Prince VA apart is his hands-on approach to everything. He’s not just the voice on the track. He’s in the studio shaping the beat, adjusting the mix, making sure every piece lines up with the story he’s trying to tell.
With more music on the way and a growing international presence, Prince VA is building something that feels both personal and undeniably current.
