Can you tell us how you started to make music?

My parents were touring with the Grateful Dead when I was born/a kid and I’ve always been around music. I began playing guitar when I was 11 and began professional session work when I was 15. After over a decade of playing for other major and independent artists, I began working on my own music right before the pandemic with my first single dropping in 2020. For the past two years I’ve been working on my debut album. It combines so many of my musical influences with so many of my personal experiences and perspectives.

What inspire you to write and create?

I know it’s cliche, but life really inspires me. I like a lot of fluid sounds and tend to surround my self with water when I can. I’m really inspired by the sounds of nature and industry and the contrast of what we consider natural to unnatural tones/sounds. Physics really inspire me and I love martial arts and working on little skills all the time.

How would you describe your creative process?

It definitely is a lot of tenacity. I try and have every day habits that help with laying the ground work for my music and other art forms, whether that is a practice routine or learning a new skill. When it comes to writing a song, I come at it from so many ways. Recently, I think I’ve been focused on rhythm and finding some kind of groove to lock into. If we can get the train rolling the rest of the song seems to manifest naturally. If it doesn’t I may move on to something else.

Could you present your latest release?

“I’ve Got A Crush On HAIM,” is a silly and fun song inspired by RnB, Soul and sexy classics from the late 90’s and early 00’s like D’angelo and Usher, etc. The band HAIM is a very talented Sister Rock/Pop/Alt Trio from Los Angeles, CA. I relate to them in a lot of personal ways, having grown up in LA and being mixed Jewish decent. My parents were strong fans of classic rock and their overall vibe seems to resonate with me. That being said, I never intended to write a tune about them, it just kinda happened while working on a production idea.

What can we expect from you in the future?

Release debut album in late winter early spring. Tour in spring, open for major art in summer.
