Paris, october 19th, rainy day…. Starting to get musically bored, trying to figure out what we’ll have in our ears during the week end.
We need changes ! And, it’s been a while that we did not have a taste of real Rock and Roll music.
And here comes CROSSTOWN CHAMELEONS, a Miami based band.
From a first listen, we felt immersed in the 90s. We are not going to lie, we are not specialists when it comes to Rock&Roll, and this is why we are only capable of recognizing the best.
“BLACKJACK”, their latest single simply woke us up :
“BLACKJACK” is the first single of their new album, entitled “PLATO’S STEPCHILDREN”, a 12 tracks opus, in which we can hear how talented they are to create a unique sound, with many influences: punk, folk, pop, grunge…. Such a classic !
What makes them even more interesting is that each of the four members are songwriter and they all contribue to the words of this musical project: Gabe Stivala, Will Montgomery, Rob Kayes, Bill Scherer, Jon Williams, Char Gregg.
Our redaction’s favorite CROSSTOWN CHAMELEON track so far is HEAVEN because it moved us and touched something in our soul….Plus: this the kind of track we want to hear at the radio.
