Welcome to our redaction. Where are you from?

I’m born in the south of France and I grew up there, but my mom is Scottish and my dad is from New Zealand.

Can you tell us how and when you started your career as a DJ?

I’ve always been obsessed with music & live performances. I used to play guitar, piano & bass. I was in a few different bands when I was a kid, but DJing gave me the opportunity to take full control over my performance. It also meant that if something wasn’t right I would take all the blame, on the other hand, if it was a great performance, I took all the plaudits! I was 15 years old for my first official performance and it was at a venue called “Le Relais Chinois” in my hometown of Aix-En-Provence. I still have a few pictures of that night, somewhere on the internet.

You also run your own company “See The Future Music”. What motivated you to create it?

I’ve been producing, DJing and engineering for a while now, and I’ve been very fortunate to work and grow within a studio environment, which also gives me access to a good network and a good understanding of how the industry works. When my business partner, Klipz, came to me with the idea of starting a label and managing artists, it made sense to me. There are too many talented people out there that don’t have the right structure around them to open the door to bigger opportunities. Which is what we want and try to provide. We’re on the label ourselves as artists while also being the main producers for everything “See The Future”. It’s a win-win!

Tell me more about your company “See The Future Music”, and why you and your partner Klipz chose this name?

Well, first of all, it’s REALLY hard to find a good label name that’s not taken. It took us weeks, if not months to come up with See The Future Music. But we were looking at names that meant something along the lines of “new and amazing talent”, “needs to be discovered”, “looking ahead”. Funnily enough, my business partner also runs a marketing agency in London, See The Future Marketing and at the very beginning we thought about using the same name. It was right in front of us the entire time but we went through hundreds of other options before going back to our first choice.

What inspires you to continue being a DJ?

Electronic music has been a big part of my life since I began DJing and to see how it’s grown in popularity over the years is amazing. I’ve been a DJ for 13 years and I can really tell it’s only the beginning for the night scene and electronic music. I love to perform, make people dance and be happy. There’s a certain buzz about it that never goes away, every crowd is different and unique.

Tell me more about your recent song “Feeling”? How would you describe it?

“Feeling” was my first official collaboration with our artist, Jordan Morris and my third solo release. It’s on that track that we first connected and created together, it was a good vibe. That’s when we noticed his songwriting potential and decided to work together on some more. We’ve been performing it live and we got some good feedback so far!

What can we expect from you in the future?

On my artist side, I’m planning to put out a new song by the end of July or early August, I’ve got a few different tracks to choose from, it’ll be something we can all dance to! We’re also preparing to release a song for Jordan Morris, one of our artists, which will be coming out around mid-July. We’ll be releasing a lot of great music this year, with some exciting features, collabs and link ups. It’s all about being consistent and having a presence.
